Hot Springs and Birchenough Bridge

Moving from the Eastern Highlands, the low lying Save River Valley at an altitude of less than 600 meters is arid and hot - the valley of baobabs. Hot Springs resort is an oasis in the desert offering a hot pool with water high in therapeutic minerals. Open bar restaurant overlooks a small dam and excellent lunches are served. A short drive further south is magnificent Birchenough Bridge. This is a 300-meter steel arch suspension bridge replicating Sydney Harbour Bridge. Return to Mutare at approximately 17.00 hours.
