Kame Ruins (Daily at 09.00 and 14.00) Approx: 3 hrs (Min 2 adults) Some twenty kilometers out of the city is the ancient Iron Age complex of Kame Ruins. Authorities agree that Kame was the capital of the Torwa State, which emerged as a power when Great Zimbabwe was in decline. Its dry stonewalling of similar style to that of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins dates from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century. Artifacts found in this area date back to the early Stone Age. |
